Semangat Muda Indonesia Explore Global Culture at Malaysia Tourism Center (MaTiC)

In May 2025, Semangat Muda Indonesia (SMI) proudly led a group of young Indonesian delegates on an inspiring visit to the Malaysia Tourism Center (MaTiC) in Kuala Lumpur. This meaningful journey was designed to expand cultural knowledge, broaden global perspectives, and inspire youth to become active agents of change.

The visit was more than just a cultural tour. Delegates were introduced to Malaysia’s rich traditions, tourism strategies, and efforts to preserve heritage while embracing modern development. Through interactive sessions and guided exploration, participants learned how tourism can serve not only as an economic driver but also as a platform for cultural diplomacy and international collaboration.

For many Indonesian youth, this experience was eye-opening. They witnessed how cultural identity and tourism can work hand in hand to empower local communities while strengthening a nation’s global presence. The insights gained at MaTiC encouraged delegates to reflect on Indonesia’s own cultural richness and the important role youth can play in promoting it on the world stage.
