Semangat Muda Indonesia Visits NIE, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore: Inspiring 87 Future Global Scholars from Indonesia
On February 18, 2025, Semangat Muda Indonesia, in collaboration with its flagship program SMI Youth Exchange, successfully brought 87 outstanding Indonesian youth to visit the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. This visit was part of a larger academic and cultural immersion series across ASEAN, aimed at preparing youth for international study and global engagement.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by representatives from NIE NTU and participated in a meaningful session that included an introduction to NIE’s academic excellence, discussions on the Inbound Program, and a tour of the Virtual Learning Centre (VLC). This visit provided a rare and valuable opportunity for Indonesian students to gain firsthand insight into one of Asia’s leading institutions for teacher education and learning innovation.
The enthusiastic participation and deep interest shown by the delegates demonstrated their readiness to pursue future studies abroad, particularly in institutions like NIE NTU. This collaboration strongly positions NIE NTU as a top destination for Indonesian students, and reinforces its reputation as an international hub for education leadership.
