Breaking into Thailand’s Top University: Semangat Muda Indonesia Leads Youth Academic Visit to Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII)
Bangkok, 8 October 2025 — Semangat Muda Indonesia (SMI), a youth-based organization dedicated to global education and leadership development, successfully conducted an international academic visit to the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII), a prestigious faculty under Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s top-ranked institution.
The visit, held on 6 October 2025, was part of the Youth Academic and Innovation Exposure Program, which aims to inspire Indonesian youth to gain first-hand experience of global education systems and interdisciplinary innovation models in Southeast Asia.
The Indonesian delegation received a warm welcome from the CSII academic team, who presented the university’s flagship programs on Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Innovation. The students also had the opportunity to discuss research collaboration, international scholarships, and exchange programs that could serve as bridges between Thailand and Indonesia.
According to Siti Nur Azizah, Chairperson of Semangat Muda Indonesia, this visit reflects SMI’s commitment to empowering youth with international exposure and cross-cultural learning.
“We believe that today’s youth must not only be locally relevant but also globally competent. Visiting a world-class university like Chulalongkorn opens new perspectives and encourages our young generation to aim higher,” Azizah stated.
Several delegates expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity. “It was eye-opening to learn how innovation and entrepreneurship are taught in a global context,” said Muhammad Randi Setiadi, program representative and coordinator of SMI Youth Exchange.
Beyond academic sessions, the delegation also engaged in a campus tour, exploring Chulalongkorn’s innovation labs and student startup showcases. The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a symbolic commitment to continue collaboration in future youth exchange and innovation projects.
With this visit, Semangat Muda Indonesia once again affirms its mission to build bridges between Indonesian youth and the global community, strengthening their role as changemakers in education, innovation, and leadership across ASEAN and beyond.
